The Practice Philosophy – Parshin Dentistry

Alex Parshin, DMD, of Parshin Dentistry speaks about how he treats his patients and staff as his extended family. He makes sure the patients feel comfortable and at ease before, during and after treatment. Even his staff members including Nicole and Catherine confirm that they are treated like family in Parshin Dental, Staten Island, NY. They explain how Dr. Alex Parshin takes care of all the dental needs of his patients in a personalized manner with utmost precision and prudence. Patients who are nervous during their first visit become extremely relaxed in the convivial environment of the clinic.

Alex Parshin, DMD.

So our practice philosophy here is we treat everyone like family. We care about our patients. We actually call them after procedures. We know their family members. We know their brothers, their sisters, their father, mother, their kids grow up. After patients have been coming here for several years, we start having their kids come to us. So, this is a very family oriented practice with high end material because we do offer 3D technology for lot of our work.

Nicole

The patients are treated like family. We know them by first name. We greet them. We ask about their personal lives. We make sure it’s not just about dentistry here, it’s also about them personally.

There is really a family atmosphere here. Since I have been here so long, I answer the phone and I hear the voice and I know exactly who it is and they appreciate that.

Catherine

It’s a different dynamic. He is all about the patients. He tries to keep a happy staff which keeps happy patients and a happy environment and that makes me happy. So, we really look forward to coming to work every day. Who says that but I do.

We have patients coming in for second opinion where another dentist tells them they need thousands and thousands of work done. And he’ll tell them no. All we need is this simple thing. He is very honest.

He listens to patients. That makes him good dentist. He likes to have the patients decide when they want to have treatment done and not force them things. This is not a business to him. This is patient care.

Alex Parshin

We’ve had a lot of success with patients that were very fearful before other dentists. After visiting us, one or two visits later, they’re able to come in and just open up and say, I’m ready to go when originally they come in and they’re shaking in the chair.

I love the way he treats the patients. He explains everything. He has a great chair side manner. He always assures you that you’ll not be in pain. And he just come sit, stops, he explains the procedure from start to finish in between. He never lets you be in dark about what’s going on.

Nicole

I am very happy here. I wouldn’t leave Dr. Parshin to go anywhere else. I love the atmosphere here. I love the patients here. It’s truly, we’re truly one big happy family. He wants to make sure that the patient all around is taken care of first and is happy with their experience.
